JAKARTA - The Indonesian mixed doubles pair who is expected to win a title at the BCA Indonesia Open Superseries Premier (BIOSSP) 2016 was halted by Denmark's pair in the second round, Kim Astrup/Line Kjaersfeldt. They defeated the second seeded pair with 19-21, 17-21, Thursday (2/6).

"Obviously I am disappointed with our performance which was below par. Maybe because of the pressure, I wanted to win badly. Becoming the champion is what we want, who doesn't? We have prepared optimally, but this is the result," Owi said after the match.

Butet said the appearance they made was under performed. Easy balls were wasted. They both made unnecessary mistakes which gained the opponent's confidence even though the opponent is not purely mixed doubles partner, instead, they were impromptu couple dedicated for the BIOSSP 2016.

"They had nothing to lose," Butet concluded. Through this defeat, Owi/Butet must once again bury their dream to become the champion at Senayan. The mixed doubles pair who has collected numerous titles at important tournaments has not been successful at home especially at Superseries Premier level tourneys.
