Gideon/Kevin lost in two straight game match, 15-21 and 19-21. Admitted by Kevin that they were not having stability against the world #1 men's doubles.
"We were lacking consistency in the match, we were inferior in maturity. They are good and stable while we were sometimes playing well and sometimes we were making our own mistakes," Kevin said.
"Prior to the match, we had discussed with the coach. But we wasted our chances and we were lacking focus. To play against them requires ball management, we can't afford one or two mistakes," Gideon said commenting on his defeat.
On the other hand, Hery IP, the Indonesia's men's doubles coach also commented on Gideon/Kevin's appearance. "Indeed, Gideon/Kevin's level is inferior to the opponent. We have to admit there are plenty better players in men's doubles at the moment. And Gideon/Kevin are still rushing when playing. Although they lost, there is a plus point for those who gave their best performance and posed resistance," Hery said.
