Many stories are told by the athletes both from Indonesia and other countries at the BCA Indonesia Open (BIO) Superseries Premier 2017 which is held for the first time held at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC).

One of them is Liliyana's funny experience while playing in the first round on Tuesday (13/6) with his partner Tontowi Ahmad against Kim Dukyoung / Kim Ha Na (Korea). Liliyana could hear what the crowds were saying and that was the first time she experienced during a match.

Venue change from Istora to JCC Plenary Hall affected performance slightly as stated by Liliyana, especially when adjusting to the pitch conditions and the wind factor. This is understandable since this is the first time the Superseries premiere level badminton tournament is held at JCC Plenary Hall.

"We're still estimating here, that's what we experienced in the match. We wanted to control the game but we were sometimes hesitate. But this cannot be made as an excuse because the opponent also experienced the same thing. We kept on figuring out during the game the way to avoid "miss"," said Liliyana.

"In addition, because this venue is smaller than Istora, the crowd's voice was heard clearly. I could even hear the spectators chatting. Not because I'm not focused, but it's true. Some said 'come on win it Owi / Butet, if Owi / Butet lost the match, the ticket price will be cheap tomorrow," Liliyana laughed.
