A defeat had to be taken by a new Indonesian pair, Greysia Polii / Apriani Rahayu, in the second round of BCA Indonesia Open Superseries Premier 2017. The defeat was inflicted by Korean pair, Chang Ye Na/Lee So Hee with 18-21 and 14-21, Thursday night (15/6).

The new pair formed two months ago admitted that the Korean opponent was more mature in the pitch. Chang / Lee has been paired for a sometime and they are now at world's number one.

"We are very disappointed by this defeat. We could control the match in the first game but we were in a rush and a bit tense, we lost instead. We must admit the Korean pair is better in the pitch compared to us that has been just newly paired," said Greysia.

"There's still a lot of works to do so that we can be more solid if we are to be paired in the future. We don't know until now if the coach will continue to pair us. One thing for sure, it still takes time for us to be more solid," Greysia stated.

Although Apriyani has been recently praised, she doesn't want to be satisfied just like that and she thinks there is still much to be improved.

"I myself do not want to feel satisfied even though many people are praising my performance. That's because I still have many things to learn in the future, there is still homework that I must be study to improve," ended Apriani.
