Indonesia's men's singles athlete, Anthony Sinisuka Ginting, claimed he was ready to perform at the BCA Indonesia Open (BIO) Superseries Premier 2017 tomorrow, Monday (12/6) at Jakarta Convention Center as stated by the Cimahi born player on October 20 1996 at a Press Conference at Sultan Hotel this afternoon, (11/6).

"I personally prepare my mentality so I can play well at the tournament. The preparation was brief right after I went back from the Sudirman Cup, so I just maintain my physical condition and mentality," he said.

Ginting is one the Indonesian hopes at this year's BIO since he has played well lately in several tournaments he participated in. And he also played well in the elimination round group 1D Sudirman Cup 2017 when Indonesia faced Denmark. At that time, he managed to stun 2016 Rio Olympic bronze medalist, Viktor Axelsen.

At the BIO 2017 this time, Ginting hopes he can perform optimally and he aims for the semifinal.

"I personally want to be in the last eight or even semifinal. After seeing the draw result, it won't be easy for me since the first round and so forth. But it is doesn't rule out I can reach my semifinal target," he said.

Ginting will take on Chinese player. Qiao Bin, in the first round. They both met once at the 2015 Korea Masters where Ginting had to admit Qiao's superiority, 14-21 and 16-21.

However, looking at Ginting's positive performance chart, especially he could beat Viktor some time ago, he has what it takes and has a chance to pay back his defeat from Qiao and finally to go to the next round. And if he succeeds in going to the second round, Ginting will take on the winner of a match played by Lee and Tommy.

Ginting and Lee have not met before and the fact that they will fight in the second round, it will feature an interesting battle from two different generations.
