BIO Is a Testing Ground for Agatha/Fadia

The most prestigious turnament, the BCA Indonesia Open (BIO) Superseries Premier 2017, held at Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) is a testing ground for young women's doubles athletes from Indonesia, Agatha Imanuela/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti as stated by Fadia after qualification final last night, Monday (12/6).

“Happy to be able to perform in such a big tournament, we will gain experience as much as we can," Fadia said.

Agatha/Fadia succeeded in winning two matches in the qualifying round on Monday (12/6). Agatha/Fadia defeated Peiy Yee Payee Lim/Peiy Zhean Lim from Malaysia with 21-15 and 21-12 in the first round of qualifying.

Meanwhile in the qualifying final, Agatha/Fadia stunned their compatriot, Febriana Dwipuji Kusuma/Ribka Sugiarto with 21-13 and 21-19.

“We know each other's style, and we were losing quite often. We just won twice. We tried to do the best we could, what we did in training, we tried to applied them in the match,” said Agatha.

In the first round, Agatha/Fadia will take on Chinese Luo Ying/Luo Yu. Playing this match, either Agatha or Fadia claims they are not afraid although playing against a higher rank pair.

"For the first game later in the match, we will have nothing to lose. Nothing is impossible, who knows, they will be the ones who are nervous while we will remain stay calm,” said Agatha.
