Agatha/Fadia's Key in Troubling Luo/Luo

The Indonesian young women's double's performance, Agatha Imanuela/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti at the BCA Indonesia Open (BIO) Superseries Premier 2017 was quite reckoned. Despite losing in the first round on Wednesday (14/6), they lost honorably.

Being previously unseeded, Agatha/Fadia was able to give troubles to the China's sixth seed, Luo Ying / Luo Yu before the fierce fight was eventually won by Luo/Luo with 13-21, 21-10, and 21-19.

Agatha / Fadia who had to crawl from the qualifying round was surprisingly able to lead and control the match. Wind factor was considered by Agatha/Fadia who are also Pelatnas athletes as troublesome especially in the third game.

"We played no lob, and we aimed at the back. Our opponents are more experienced than us, suddenly they changed the game pattern from defensive to offensive and we were overwhelmed," said the 17 year old Agatha.

Agatha also revealed that they have done their best to defeat Luo/Luo whose rank is much better than them. Luo/Luo is a senior Chinese doubles ranked at world's sixth while Agatha/Fadia are at the world's 264th.

Meanwhile, Fadia claimed to have studied Luo/Luo's style and prepared a strategy with the coach. In the third game, Fadia said that Agatha and she could not control the wind make many own mistakes.

"We are satisfied with our performance today, but we are quite disappointed losing this way," said Fadia who was just 16 years old.
