Zwiebler Needs Istora's Support

Playing at Istora Senayan stadium is indeed sensational. The fans merry-making roar attracts all the players performe at BCA Indonesia Open Super Series Premier (BIO) 2015, including Marc Zwiebler from Germany.

Zwiebler advances to quarter final after ousting a home team player Tommy Sugiarto 16-21, 22-20 and 21-19 in 1 hour 20 minutes on, Thursday. As a result, he will face Kenichi Tago.

A more challenging match ahead makes Zwiebler is in need of motivation and additional support which he hopes to get it from the crowd at the stadium.

“I like playing in Indonesia, and the crowd was supporting Tommy. Tommy might feel the pressure as he played on home ground, but I hope after winning, the crowd will stand by me in the next match," Zwiebler said after the match. 

Commenting on the match, although losing point in the first set, Zwiebler saw a chance to turn the table. Tommy's blunder gave the German an advantage resulting in Zwiebler' victory. The result forced both players to step into the decider. 

"Since the beginning, I knew this would be a tough one because fighting I was about to play against a home player. Tommy could have stolen the set but I saw a chance and was able to use it to win," he added.

It turns out Ziewbler doesn't really expect the extravagant US$800,000 prize money offered by the BIO 2015. The world's 21 ranking only hopes for a great success in Indonesia. It is because BIO is one of the most prestigious tournament in the world. 

"I fight for success, not for the prize," he concluded.
